How To Set Up For:

  • Speech
  • Music Playback XLR
  • Music Playback Phonos
  • Music Playback Jacks

Start

Plug the supplied AC adapter power supply and plug in at the rear of the desk. The main outputs on the Notepad are TRS jack outs so you will either use balance jacks to your speaker or power amp however we recommend using TRS jack to XLR adapter cables, which we will supply as part of the hire, that you can attach to a length of XLR of your choice. Once powered on raise the main yellow fader to ZERO.

Speech

Plug an XLR into your microphone then connect the other end of the XLR into channel 1 of the mixer. Turn the red fader knob at the bottom of channel 1 to about 75% and as you start to talk into the microphone slowly rotate the red gain knob for channel 1 clockwise and you will hear your voice coming through the speakers.

Music Playback XLR

If you are using a device with XLR outputs or example a DJ mixer or controller then plug the 2 XLR into channel 1 + 2 of the mixing desk. Pan the yellow an knob on channel 1 to the left and channel 2 to the right so channel 1 becomes the left an channel 2 as the right channel of your music source. Turn he red channel fader for channel 1+2 to about 12 o’clock. Play music from your device and slowly turn the red gan knob for channel 1+2 and you will hear music through the speakers.

Music Playback Phonos

If you have a device that has phono outputs or using a mini tis jack to phonos cable plug the phonos into channels 9+10 and put the channel fader to 12 o’clock. Play music from your device and slowly increase the red gain knob for channel 9+10 and you will hear music come through your speakers.

Music Playback Jacks

If you are using a mini TRS jack to 2 x TR jack cable for music playback then plug the TR jacks into channel 5+6, rotate red channel 5+ fader to 12o’clock, play music rom your device and slowly increase the gain for the channel.
